Classic Winter

Classic Winter

The cold days were really long in the last few weeks. Everyday I have to wear many layers of clothes to keep myself warm, especially a warm scarf - the inevitable item in my everyday outfit. However, in this winter, instead of scarf, another item I love the most is the turtleneck knit sweater. When I am wearing a turtleneck top, I tuck my hair into the top so I would look like having a short hair, and it is super warm also! Have you tried this trick before so as to keep yourself warm?

I'm so sorry that I've missed two weekly outfit post in this month because I was busy with other projects and stuff. But please stay tuned, something new will be coming really soon! Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you guys have an amazing day. :)

Summertime in Wintertime

Summertime in Wintertime

When I was small, every Christmas and Chinese New Year were really cold. When we had to go visit our relatives(拜年), we always had to wear many layers of clothes in order to keep warm. And there was a year, that CNY was very warm, we can even wear short sleeves to go out... It just doesn't seem like any CNY I had, it's lacking festive mood under such a warm weather. And it's happening again this year! So, here it is a summer outfit in this wintertime. Here I styled a striped top with a plaid skirt. Two different prints, but still works together. The plaid skirt mixed two similar tone color of blue and green, which tuned the contrast down. Meanwhile the striped top is a mix of a greater contrast of black and white, also the prints is comparatively larger to the skirt, so we could get a balance between two items.
Last but not least, I wish you all have great fun in this festival with your beloved family and people. Happy Chinese New Year and wish you have a prosperous year ahead.   : )

Cozy Blue

Cozy Blue

If you read my outfit post regularly, you might have noticed that I actually like blue a lot. When I put on something in blue, the feeling of "That's it!" instantly comes. And at that moment, you know you could never leave your wardrobe without any blue items. Another items I'm addicted to is oversized clothes - oversize coat, oversize sweater, oversize tee or shirt and oversize pants... Oversized clothes are extremely comfortable, and it can easily achieve a stylish look. People may think that, only tall people could carry oversized clothes without looking baggy, but it's not true. Here are some useful tips for how to wear oversized clothes.
It is all about Proportions and Balance! Which means, if I decided to wear an oversized coat, I will keep the other things fit, like here I paired a skinny jeans to balance out the outfit. Sometimes if I want to add some height, I would pair with heels like ankle boots or pump shoes. Also, I'll make sure I've keep other things clean and stylish, so the oversized item will be the statement piece.

What is your pick of oversized clothes? And how do you wear it?

My Face

My Face

I have never thought myself looking alike with any of my family members, but taking these portrait recently, I realized an interesting thing - my Dad and I actually look so much alike when we are not smiling. The shape, the structure and the contour of our face really look alike. High cheekbones and strong jawline, making us not so "Chinese" looking. There was a joke my Mum used to tell me, when I was small, every time when there was any police walking towards us, my Mum would ask me to hold my Dad's hand, otherwise the police would stop him for an ID card check (for his "foreigner" face!). Before attending university, there was a period of time I did not really like my jawline. It looks too strong so my face appears to be really really BIG! But not long after I figured that it's actually a unique feature of mine, and this is what my parents gave me and I should love it like they love me. : ) My Dad also gave me a pair of good eyes, which I could see every beautiful creatures in the world, and about "how" I see things. If, if you think I do photograph good images and makes beautiful works, it is all because of - my Dad. Every single work of mine, he made his part of contributions, too. I could not do anything but carry this best gift he has given to me, to live a little longer, to photograph more beautiful images, and not long after, I will join him, and we will have a big adventure together, again.

Hi Dad, please rest peacefully and have fun in the another side of the Light, also inside my heart. So,
see you later,

From your silly little pretty daughter.  <3

Blue Addict

Blue Addict

Blue is my favorite color. It is soft, peaceful, and natural… it is the color of the sky and the sea. I always believe there is a kind of healing power in this color. It's like, when you are surrounded by Blue, a feeling of calmness and safeness comes to you. And there is a bit of sadness and a level of sensitivity. I could never resist anything of this color, that is why I was so excited when I have got this knitted jumper. The fluffy texture, with the baby blue is just perfect for this winter - it's Soft, Warm, and a feeling of being Loved.

Is the Blue your favorite color too? Comment down below about your pick of color!

Little Daisy

Little Daisy

After I went to high school, I have started to stay away from clothes of any colorful prints, shocking color or busy pattern. My mum always said I only have a selection of color in my wardrobe - forever Black, White, Grey and Blue. Last time I wore a floral print top was 15 years ago. However, these years, when I see some beautiful patterns or prints, I just cannot take my eyes off them, of course, especially floral prints. Here I wear a black maxi skirt to get a balance with the daisy print top.

How would you wear your tops with different prints and patterns? Leave a comment and let me know!
